We are dead smack in the middle of holiday season. We have found ourselves amongst the hustle and flow of Christmas shopping, party hopping, cooking, baking and the like. We have work during the day and family life at night. Not to mention time with friends when possible. Just when you thought you had every right to be exhausted Mrs. Carter, also playfully know as Yonce these days, serves you a hearty portion of LIFE!

I do declare that this talented woman is 2013's hardest working human of the year. She is by far more than just a pretty face, fab body and a singing bird. She, my friends, is a business person that is a force to be reckoned with. Who drops a no promo no warning visual album in the middle of a tour? Only Mrs. BeyoncĂ© Knowles Carter. Now that's how you go out with a bang!

As I have mentioned several times before, I am really more of a big necklace, bigger handbag, and no makeup kind-of-a gal. Well after having an image is everything conversation with my friends, I decided to take a walk on the wild side and give this makeup thing a try.

If I had to choose, I prefer a precisely groomed brow, light mascara, and a colored lip. I honestly didn't know exactly where to start because the sea of makeup is endless. The one thing I knew for sure was that I didn't want to put a lot of money into my initial makeup investment. With that thought, I decided to visit my local beauty store.

I ran across some amazing shades of red ranging from bright to deep. I must say that the color options were exciting and what iced the cake was the low cost attached to these lipstick. There were at least 20 plus color choices of the Ruby Kisses Color Design Lipsticks and they were only a buck! That's right $1. I picked up two for now to see if I can actually commit to applying them daily. I will keep you posted.

Has the thought of the coming holiday shopping season got you feeling a little not so cheerful? Have you ever felt like giving a gift certificate as a gift was too impersonal? Have you been worried about the embarrassment that comes with selecting the wrong size for the gift recipient? Well worry no more! I have put together a little gift guide that will fit your budget as well as the person you are gifting.

Pearl's have been deemed a classic by many sophisticated women of our time.  This is a wardrobe staple and a holiday must-have! This statement necklace set is priced at only $20.

The holiday season brings along with it a ton of great parties to attend. This 50 shades of green necklace (maybe not 50) is a definite party piece. You can wear beige, winter white, or your little black dress with this amazing gem. It retails for $18.

Winter Wonderland is exactly what came to mind when I laid eyes on the stunning accessory. The bold blue hues intertwined with the elegance that the gold brings makes for one gorgeous gift. This necklace set is $18.

These are just a sneak peak at what online boutique Baggage B has to offer. Be sure to visit the website at www.baggageb.com to peruse their offerings and get great gifts this holiday season.

The To Do-over!

It's amazing how time seems to fly in certain areas of your life while in others it seems to be at a standstill. One thing I've learned over the last month or so is that time waits for absolutely no one! When life starts firing shots with the intent to kill our joy, consistency and progress, we must try out best to dodge the bullets and continue on our way.

Often times we feel that if we can't check everything off of our "To Do List" then we haven't accomplished anything at all. Oh contraire. Even if you only get the opportunity to pen a bold black line through one item on that list, know that you have covered some ground.

Writing down the things that you need to get done in a timely manner is definitely a vital step in the journey of completion. However, we must learn how not to set ourselves up for failure by creating unattainable goals.

A great place to start would be to simply think of three things that you would like to see get done by the week's end. Jot those three to-do's down in order of importance. Gather your thoughts around what it will take to see the item of greatest importance through and make that your mission for the day.

Holding yourself accountable for one task each day will ensure that you are actually productive and accomplishing the things that you have set out to do. It's never too late to start again.

K. Konfession: Be Mindful

LETS KONFESS TO FEEL LESS STRESSED

I Konfess: There are days that I don't feel like doing a thing. No hair combing. No clothes ironing. No teeth brushing. Actually you can omit the last No because it hasn't gotten that bad for me yet. Any hoot, you get the picture. You may feel drained, tired, or depressed to the point of what seems like No return. We have all experienced a low moment at least once in our lives.

I just want to encourage you to guard your mind from negative thoughts that try to cloud your thinking. As things enter your mind they can then become actions and presumably an eventual way of life. It is vital that we think about what we are thinking about.

On The Run

I am most certainly a sporty casual chic kind of gal as previously mentioned. Fashionably functional clothing tops my list every time so when Baggage Boutique posted these animal print joggers it was love at first sight. Add a crisp white tee and a statement necklace (of course) to complete this simply sassy ensemble.

Peeping Tom

What woman wouldn't light up like a Christmas tree at the thought of all eyes being on her? I sure would. But because these days fashion seems to be taking a road less traveled, this old school saying has become very literal.

Kendall Jenner was photographed rocking an amaze shimmer eye crop top with ultra white skinnies that framed her lean physique. It looks like the eyes have it! Case closed.

Say It With Your Chest

Fall fashion is all the talk these days. Dignitary divas like BeyoncĂ© and Kim K have been spotted sporting gold plated lettering across their chest making very stylish statements. For an even louder look layer your nameplate with lengthy links.

What's The Point

If there are two things I love in a shoe, it's a sleek pointy toe and the stability of a wedge. Prepare to be plummeted into heel heaven because this season those two styles merge seamlessly into one shoe! The pointy wedge is on the rise with embellished soles, straps, bells and whistles (well maybe not whistles). These cool kicks are being spotted in leather, suede, solids, and of course prints from Zara to Alice and Olivia.

Break Up to Makeup

I'm more of the white tshirt and distressed denim kind of gal. Okay and maybe a statement necklace and huge cocktail ring too. Needless to say, I'm not one who wears a full face of makeup. My hectic schedule and busy life often times just doesn't permit a novice like myself to "beat" my face. But when I do feel like throwing on a pair of pumps and going glam for the day to break up my casual chic routine, I call my friend for marvelous makeup help.

For great tips on makeup, skin, and random beauty buys please check out LetsJustMakeup5 on YouTube! A guru in her own right, E. Ellis will definitely enlighten you on easy ways to create gorgeous makeup looks. If you are in the New Orleans or surrounding areas, be sure to book your appointment with one of NOLA's best!

Money Makeover

If you are your own best asset, naturally you will work diligently to keep your outward appearance intact. We devote a great deal of time to sprucing up our hair and applying makeup, not to mention the hours spent toiling in retail stores in mad search of clothing and shoes. But how much time can you say you've spent this week alone beautifying your finances?

By no means am I deemed a financial guru! I am, however, of the belief that you are what you eat. With that being said if I feed my mind financial knowledge then that gives me excessive access to build wealth. The following are common traits that millionaires share according to Mindset2succedd.com:

Vocation- This simply means that wealth can build easily when you operate in an area of passion.

Risk/Reward- A lot of times you have to step out of the boat and take the risk of walking on water to reap a huge reward.

Salesmanship- When operating a business of any sort you have to possess the ability to engage people so that they make the connection and buy into your brand.

Vision- It is vital to write your vision and make it plain so that you can have concrete plans that will serve as your blueprint for success.

Thoughts- What you think leads to what you do. Keep your thinking positive and passionate. Whatsoever is great think on that and success will follow.

Mission: Transition

Right about now, pending your geographical location, you may find yourself lodged between sassy summer days and classy cool nights. I find that a great way to dress for transitional weather is to layer. A simple white tee and cotton maxi skirt is sure to keep you feeling light and airy during warmer temperatures. What's even better is that you still have room to add a denim jacket and an infinity scarf without creating too much bulk. Finish your look with comfy flats, a side purse, and studs and viola!

Mission transition accomplished.

Definitely Denim

Falls forecast calls for heavy winds and even heavier wefts. Delight in the redefined appeal of the infinite classic we call denim. From durable to dainty prepare to feast your eyes on cascades of bleached, washed, and dyed denim ensembles.

Pair a light-weight denim top with your slacks or pencil skirt for a polished work-ready look. Or layer it over a shift dress and top it off with a thin belt to define the waistline. And by all means don’t be fearful of double dipping your denim. A super dark wash of skinnies coupled with a light acid washed button up screams casual chic.

Whether it’s years old or days new, it’s definitely denim!

Style Your Stash

There is a terrible misconception that in order to own a powerful wardrobe you have to spend a lot of money. While I do agree that the attention grabbing displays and the celebrity style cams tend to zoom in on the more pricey looks, you can almost always find a less expensive alternative.

The grass could definitely be greener on the other side in terms of cost, but you would be surprised at the high dollar fashion statements you can create using the clothing and accessories you already have. Every other month or at least every season take the time to shop your own closet to see what items are out of sight and mind. Try “re-pairing” two items that you wouldn’t typically put together and witness the birth of a completely different clothing creation.

Before you go out and spend the big bucks try to style your own stash.

Kouture Mindset. Priceless Style.

The Intro: Kouture Mindset. Priceless Style

It is my belief that the best thing a woman can wear is confidence. Confidence is often defined as a state of certainty or full trustworthiness. This automatically lets us know that in order to successfully function in any area of our lives we have to be absolutely sure of ourselves. Self-identity makes the path to style selection a lot easier. This train of thought requires you to think the very best of yourself (kouture) which will lead to an outward display of personal style that can’t be bought (priceless).

Don’t think for a second that this means your wardrobe each day will look like a constant repeat of the day before. Knowing who you are and learning which fashion finds are most suitable for you should not limit you to just one look. Select a great foundation of staple pieces on which to build your style empire and elevate your wardrobe to the rooftop.

Spend less time shopping in other people’s closets and more time filling your own.
